Tuesday, July 28
Jack Crawford made Tuesday golf his own after registering 39 points in A grade, which is quite the achievement considering the new handicapping process.
Jim trounced Tony and Trev in B grade, whilst Paul Boek produced some stunning shots on his way to C grade glory.
A total of 93 golfers played the west course 32 points on a countback, winning a voucher.
A grade: 1st: Jack Crawford (39), 2nd: Gary Edwards (35), 3rd: John Bedford (34 c/b).
B grade: 1st: Jim Thomas (36), 2nd: Tony Ciavarella (35 c/b), 3rd: Trevor Ritchie (35).

Thursday, July 30
Golf without our Victorian contemporaries has led to slight tweaks in the grades and rundown to try and even the distribution of prizes.
David Cockroft found himself in A grade and performed admirably to only be beaten by two marvellous men in Moody and Mudge.
John Pollard had a day out in B grade monstering the rest of field including Max and Mal.
In a moment of brilliance Adam Burdett collected another eagle on the 17th.
A total of 91 golfers played the west course nett 73 winning a voucher.
A grade: 1st: Lindsay Mudge (nett 70 c/b), 2nd: Trevor Moody (70), 3rd: David Cockroft (nett 72 c/b).
B grade: 1st: John Pollard (nett 68), 2nd: Max Beard (nett 70 c/b), 3rd: Malcolm France (nett 70).
Eagle: 17th — Adam Burdett.
Saturday, August 1
Stephen Levy had a scintillating round registering an astonishing 40 points to claim A grade.
Darcy Hall also made a wonderfully constructed 40 points to put a wedge between himself and the rest of C grade whereas the wily March Lynch, fresh from dismantling Royal Deniliquin GC, did enough to claim B grade.
A total of 140 golfers played the west course with 31 points winning a voucher.

B grade: 1st: Mark Lynch (35 c/b), 2nd: Steve Palling (35), 3rd: David Sparks (34 c/b).

Ladies
Monday, August 3
A nine hole stableford competition on the west course was held on Monday.
The run down went to 16 points, there were 17 entrants.
Overall winners: 1st: Jill Flanagan (20), 2nd: Pat Sanders (19), 3rd: Joyce Moresi (17).
Wednesday, August 5
A total of 34 ladies competed in a stroke competition on the west course as the run down went to 76.
Sally Gough took out the monthly medal on 70 points.
Overall winners: 1st: Sally Gough (70), 2nd: Vicki Shipp (72 c/b), 3rd: Suzan Hutton (72).
Victorian residents are missing their club and ladies very much.
Veterans
On Friday, July 31 a smaller field of 47 players enjoyed lunch and golf on the west course.
Due to Victorian members not being able to participate results of the day will not go towards any aggregate awards.
We do look forward to the time when things return to normal so our Victorian members can return.
The ladies stableford event was won by Nelliette Read with 38 points on a countback from Glenys Smith, just ahead of Josie Kirkman, Toni Beck and Jenny Kirkpatrick on 37 points.
Trevor Moody took out the men’s event with 40 points and the best score of the day, one point ahead of Ray Burgman on 39.
Grant Stewart had a respectable 37 points with Ian Baylis on 36, and Keith McCormack with 35.
The next event will be held on Friday, August 14.
Could members please notify the proshop by Wednesday, August 12 of any dietary requirements.
If you are unable to play please withdraw your name ASAP to avoid lunches being prepared unnecessarily.
Bamawm
It was another glorious day as the men and women took to the course for the second and final round of championships.
Winner of the day for the ladies was Kath Connors with a great score of 96-27-69 with Anita Ward finishing as runner-up.
Longest drive: Rachael Major.
Nearest the line: Leisa Evans.
NTP: 7/16 — Lyn Kingston.
Congratulations to Louise Williams on winning the ladies A grade championship with 86-92-178 from Lyn Kingston (90-94-184).
Well done to captain Anita Ward winning the B grade championship with 97-96-193 with Kath Connors the runner-up.
Winner of the day for the men was Spencer Broom with a fantastic score of 85-23-62 only one shot ahead of Blake Evans with 89-26-63.
Longest drive: Sam Newth.
Nearest the line: Jono McAsey.

Lockington
It was another glorious winter day for golf on Saturday, enjoyed by a good field of 34 golfers that included visitors from Rich River.
Trav Mancer had a terrific score of 78-14-64 to win the monthly medal, Giddings Co Player of the Day and A grade honours.
His great round included three birdies, two of which were chip-ins.
Terry Thomas (77-8-69) was runner-up in A grade with Steve Holt next best on 81-12-69 followed by Andrew Harris’ 85-13-72.
Andrew’s round included a memorable 12 on the 6th when he went out of bounds three times off the tee.
Andy Freemantle was back in form with 82-15-67 to win B grade from Will Hardess (89-21-68) and Mark Lyons (89-20-69), while Don Muhleisen (99-27-72) won C grade on a countback from Des Pentreath (99-27-72).
Best scratch scores: A grade – Grant Humbert 75; B grade – Andy Freemantle 82; C grade – Matt Higgins 97.
NTPs: 16th – Kevin Humbert; 2nd shot 13th – Andrew Harris (A); Mark Lyons (B); Don Muhleisen (C); 2nd shot 18th for the 8-pack smack – Brett Stone.
Spike’s Longest Drive on the 1st: Grant Humbert (A), Andy Freemantle (B), JD Wright (C).
Neither the Echuca CIH eagles nest on the 3rd, nor Captain Bricka’s yardstick on the 16th was won.
Ian Haines was 1-up after five holes in his handicap matchplay quarter-final against Brett Stone, but Brett then won five of the next six holes to be 4-up after 11.
Ian then fought back to win the next 2 holes, but Brett responded by winning the next 2 holes to seal victory 4 and 3.
Phyll Macfarlane was in good form for last Wednesday’s stableford round with a score of 33 points to win the Giddings Co Player of the Day voucher and B grade honours.
A grade was won by Annette Brereton with 32.
