After a first defeat in the McMahon Shield, Bamawm-Lockington United returned to form with a comfortable victory over the in-form Kyabram Fire Brigade.

BLU sent Fire Brigade in at Bamawm and openers Miller Griffiths and Shannon Fleming made a measured start to the innings.
After putting on 23, Kade Pearse made the game’s opening breakthrough, removing Fleming for 12.
Miller Griffiths made a game best 41 in a losing effort.

Bohden Learmonth (6) came and went, but Jake Gascoyne was able to make a start alongside Griffiths.
After putting on 41, Griffiths departed with his side in a solid position at 3-76, but things quickly turned for the worse.

The Flames would only add another 29 runs for the last seven wickets, Gascoyne (18) the only man to reach double figures in an almighty capitulation, as Fire Brigade was dismissed for 105.
Charlie Mundie got the valuable wickets of Griffiths and Gascoyne on the way to 3-18, while Prateer Mehta helped clean out the tail, taking 3-9.

With a small total to defend, Fire Brigade mustered some hope by removing Kaydn Blachford for 1, but BLU captain Regis Chakabva quickly put the game beyond doubt.
In his signature attacking style, Chakabva made a rapid 40 from 37, allowing Kade Pearse (14), Woody Wilson (18) and Luke Thompson (13 not out) to put the finishing touches on the win, BLU 5-106 in 23.2 overs.

Oliver Hughes did what he could to keep the Flames in the game, taking 3-25, while captain Robert Salter and Jackson Barnett took one each.
Echuca South’s shock defeat to Tongala returns BLU (6-1) to second place, trailing the perfect Moama.
Fire Brigade (4-3) remains in fourth on quotient, but can kick clear again, while Rochester sits out with the bye.
The Flames will visit Echuca South in a blockbuster third versus fourth clash, while BLU is also facing a marquee fixture at Moama on Saturday.
