The change was announced at the organisation’s annual general meeting, and Mr Ford acknowledged Dr Lees’ contributions during her time as chair.
“She has developed some strong partnerships in the last 18 months, including joining Business NSW and helping Women of the Murray expand into Echuca,” he said.
“It is also exciting to see new members join us who will help us continue our momentum moving forward.”
Helping lead the board will be Courtney Mitchell, a commercial strategy analyst at Australian Consolidated Milk, who has taken on the deputy chair position.
Arahura Farms senior management accountant Kylie Williams has taken over the treasurer position from Mr Ford.
“Expanding our board to 12 at the start of the year has provided us with some dynamic and driven members, and I’m excited to see what we can achieve in the next 18 months,” Mr Ford said.
A series of breakfast talks are being planned for next year, and an update to the ongoing Echuca-Moama CCTV project is expected in early December.
