Kernow Environmental Services will run the program, bringing over 30 years of experience providing immunisations to councils and communities.
Council acting director of communities Janelle Wheatley said she welcomed the appointment, which would prioritise continuity of care for residents.
“We ... want to reinforce that the Campaspe community will still be able to enjoy accessing council’s immunisation service in their local area, ensuring equity of access, no matter where in our shire you live,” she said.
The program offers immunisations for infants, schools, workplaces and adults.
In July, council announced it had put its immunisation program out to tender, while the Victorian Government recently chose Echuca Regional Health to administer its maternal and child health services.
The first immunisation session under Kernow’s management will take place on Monday, December 15 from 4.30pm to 6.30pm at Echuca library.
Next year’s half-year immunisation schedule will be published by council in the coming weeks.
