Flagstaff Hill visitor Leigh Schreier stole the show in the stroke event on Thursday, winning A-grade from Glenn ‘Rocket’ Rogers.
Geoff Connally and Neil Findlay fought out B-grade and Kevin Clarke had a great round to take out C-grade.
In other news, the club cannot wait to hear how Bill Ramsay managed to eagle 15 while Les Barned, at 92 years young, broke his age for the third time this year; an amazing effort.

Saturday, December 4:
Paddy Hannon has been in terrific form of late and deservedly won the monthly medal after shooting four under par.
Chad Jones won the A-grade nett and Jack Crawford took the B-grade honours ahead of Andrew Jacobs.
James Bertram won a close C-grade event over Darren Goodson.
Paddy Hannon, Darren Burr and John Beattie were the scratch winners on the day.

Sixty-one players turned out for the medley Stableford round on the west course. Cerberus Golf Club visitor Nick Sigge took home the win with 39 points on a countback from local Neville Speight with Craig Spiers a close third on 38 points.
Monday, December 6:
The nine-hole stroke competition produced some good nine-hole nett scores; Moira Thomas won B-grade with 33 nett on a countback from Trish Plowman.
Maureen Berg topped A-grade with 34 nett.

Wednesday, December 8:
A one-tee start and a long day ahead for the later starters did not deter 95 women from playing the Stableford round on the west course.
C-grade's Jo Quayle ran into form, winning her grade with the top score of the day with 41 points, ahead of veteran Ros Pellegrino (38) who took second place on a countback to Bernie Eade (38).
Club champion Rosalie Drill continued her winning ways to take out the A-grade prize with 38 points, ahead of Josie Kirkman on a countback.

B-grade: 1st Pam Taylor (38 c/b); 2nd Alison McKiterick (38); 3rd Fran Galvin (37).

Junior Championship:
A thrilling matchplay final in the Junior Championship saw Paddy Kennedy take out the win over Rhylee Chapman.
In the semi-finals Kennedy defeated former champion D’Arcy Whyte on the last hole while Chapman had a big win six and four over the top qualifier, Jaxson McMinn.
The final was halted by referee Dave Cockroft after 14 holes due to lightning, with Kennedy one up. Resuming the next day it went down to the wire with Kennedy maintaining his lead to take out the Reg Taylor Memorial Trophy.
Rich River Veterans
The Rich River Golf Club Veterans club has grown in two short years to a record 236 members.
Last Friday, the club conducted its NSWVGA 2021 presentations.
The Star award is an annual aggregate of the best four Stableford rounds.
Joy Kelly won the ladies’ Star award with 149 points, four points ahead of the 2020 winner Maree Ciavarella.
The men’s winner was Mark Emery with 151 points, two clear of Doug Adams.
The best men’s score of the year was shared by Mark Emery and Alan Curtis with 41 points. Doss Dinsdale had the best ladies’ score with 40 points.
Club champions Jan McGuinness and John Moyle were presented with the club champions jackets and embroidered champions shirts.
Friday, December 3:
Grant Stewart starred with 42 points to win the men’s A-grade event, six points ahead of Keith McCormack and Norm Hodge.
Ian Hutton took out B-grade with 37 points, four points clear of runner-up Arie Syaranamaul. Nearest-the-pin winners were Grant Stewart, Keith McCormack and George Benham.
The ladies’ A-grade was won by Diane Symons with 38 points; Maree Ciavarella was runner-up with 37 points.
Anne McPherson won B-grade with 37 points, one ahead of Diane Watson and Pat Sanders.
Nearest-the-pin winners were Glenys Smith and Gloria Martin.
A NSWVGA Grass Roots Mystery Pairs event ran in conjunction with the daily Stableford event.
Winners were Diane Symons and Brian Suffolk, Gloria Bennett and Keith McCormack, and Colleen Lynch and Norm Hodge.
The next event will be held Friday, January 14, 2022.
