While Leitchville-Gunbower hasn’t had the start to the Goulburn Murray Cricket McMahon Shield season it was hoping for, it got a nice victory over Nondies-Cohuna in the final round of 2025.

Hosting the current wooden-spooner in round 11 at Gunbower Recreation Reserve, L-G won the toss and sent the visitor in to bat first.
Nondies proved defiant to start, as openers Brodie Bennett and Matt Oddie set a strong platform at the top of the order.

The pair combined for 61 through the first 16 overs before some Zac Hegarty magic sent Bennett packing for 39 and two balls later Zeb Ellwood was also brought undone for no score.
Oddie continued on with Jamal Sukhon until over 23 where the former was beaten all ends up after tallying a steady 30 from 84 balls.

From there, it was rough going for the visitor.
The duo of James and Jye Keath ripped through Nondies’ batting, with Matthew Robinson the only other visiting bat to impact the scoreboard with 13.

Jye Keath was marvellous with the ball, snaring 6-27, while James Keath was also dangerous, picking up 4-18 as Nondies was rolled for 101 in 34 overs.
While openers Tyler Jones (12) and Jason Keath (7) got starts, first drop Liam Keath played the match-winning hand, raising the bat for a considered 50 off 60 balls.

Scott Lucas kept L-G afloat alongside Liam Keath, scoring a cautious 17 off 44 before Simon Tatt (8 not out) and Jasper Hare (2 not out) got the host home in the 30th over with six wickets to spare.
