When temperatures reached 39°C on Tuesday, by the river was the best place to be.
Locals and visitors alike made their way to the water, with some having visited the beach at this time of year all their lives, while others were visiting for the first time.
While visitors said they felt the river was low, everyone enjoyed themselves setting up in and around the water.
