Crews battle afternoon blaze near Koyuga

A CFA spokesperson told the Riv when crews arrived they found a grass and scrub fire spreading and quickly went to work.

The incident was declared under control at 6.16pm and was safe at 8.50pm.

Crews stayed on the scene for “some time” while crews cleared and monitored the scene before it was handed back to the landowner.

The CFA spokesperson said the cause of the fire was “still undetermined” at this stage.
