Locals and visitors will again be flocking to Moama Beach this week, with the temperatures set to soar.

This week, sunny days with temperatures in the high 30s and low 40s are forecast for Echuca-Moama region.
A total fire ban was declared for the northern country region for Monday, January 5, with more possible for the rest of the week.
After an overnight low of 14ºC, the temperature on Tuesday, January 6, is predicted to reach 37ºC.

Winds will be southerly 15 to 25km/h turning west to southwesterly 15 to 20km/h in the morning and early afternoon then tending southeast to southwesterly in the evening.
We are then in for a run of days over 40ºC, with temperatures expected to hit 43ºC on Wednesday, January 7, and 45ºC on Thursday, January 8, and Friday, January 9.

Despite the hot days and light winds predicted on each day, there is also a chance of a thunderstorm for later in the week and small amount of rain.
Temperatures are expected to drop slightly on Saturday and Sunday, back down to the low 30s.
