V/Line services on the Echuca and Bendigo lines have remained severely disrupted since Friday, January 9, with the Echuca line completely suspended and no replacement coaches available.
Alternative coach services are unavailable for Bendigo and Echuca passengers because of unsafe road conditions and a shortage of coaches and drivers.
Passengers are being advised to avoid unnecessary travel.
Bushfires have also knocked out radio and television reception, with many Campaspe residents experiencing patchy or no service throughout the region.
Transmission infrastructure at Mt Alexander sustained damage during Friday’s bushfires, with repair crews working to restore services.
WIN Television Transmission wrote on its Facebook page that field service technicians attended the scene on Saturday, January 10 and found “significant” damage to the infrastructure.
“We are all working on solutions to restore services; however, no time frame is available at this stage,” the post said.
Campaspe Shire Council advised residents can stay updated with news by using the Emergency Dashboard on the council's website to access radio and other services.
Before travelling, passengers should check the V/Line website and mobile app for current services and stay updated on bushfire conditions through the VicEmergency website and app.
