A wide range of organisations shared in more than $55,000 of funding for community inclusivity, events and tourism, and equipment initiatives.
Mayor Daniel Mackrell commended the successful recipients, and said it was fantastic to see so many projects receive funding.

With this year’s first round of funding open now, Cr Mackrell encouraged groups to make the most of the grants.
“If you aren’t sure which grant your community group’s event or initiative may be eligible for, or you need a hand with your application, our grants team are more than happy to help,” he said.
Groups are encouraged to read and understand all information on the council’s grants webpage, including the dates of all four rounds of the program, for a successful application.
Event and tourism grants should gather all details and application documents several months before applying to allow enough time for assessment and approval.
From February 1 to February 22, the first round of the Community Grants Program will open for applications across all four streams this year.
