To ensure the community can continue to enjoy the activations, Sandstorm Events was in town to carry out routine maintenance and repairs over the weekend.
Most of the sculptures have sustained minor damage; however, the White Rabbit on the Murray Esplanade was a victim of vandalism and required its ears to be replaced.
Sandstorm Events co-founder Peter Redmond said despite some instances of vandalism, people had for the most part been respectful.
“Considering how long they've been here and out in the public sphere, for nearly two months now, it's been pretty good,” he said.
“A little bit of vandalism, but that's to be expected. That's just the nature of it, unfortunately."
Campaspe Shire Council has a maintenance program in place to help keep the sculptures in good condition.
Additionally, the Boys in the Bush were recruited before Christmas to help monitor the sculptures by carrying out daily checks and reporting any damage.
Community members have also been proactive in taking care of the sculptures, with about 10 reports submitted to council since mid-December from residents.
Locals are encouraged to report any damage or safety issues regarding the sculptures, fencing or signage through an online form.
