Corowa RSL hosted this Tournament over two Thursdays.
Thursday, February 12
Congratulations to Wayne Lee and Andy Dickins who were Runners Up to Garry Sanders and Maurie Brayden.
Thank you to our volunteers who assisted with the organising of this two-week Tournament.
Weekend Pennant Qualifying Finals
Saturday, February 14
Congratulations to Corowa RSL Division A1 who played in a Qualifying final at Wangaratta on Saturday.
Corowa RSL defeated top side Wodonga by two overall shots to now play in the grand final.
Wodonga will now play Rutherglen for a position in the final.
Division A4 lost the Qualifying final to North Albury at Rutherglen and will now play Wangaratta for a position in the grand final.
Division B2 defeated Corowa Civic Bowls Club and are moving straight to the grand final.
Division B2 hasn't lost a match throughout the entire season, an amazing effort.

Midweek Pennant, Tuesday 17th
Both Division A1 and A3 are playing Qualifying Finals.
Division A1 are playing YMGCR at Corowa Civic and Division A4 are playing Commercial Albury at Chiltern.
Corowa RSL Bowls will be hosting the Midweek Division B2 finals at Club Corowa.
Men's Triples Championship 2025-26
The Triples Championship was won by Alan Holmquest, Peter Summerill and Wayne Lee on Sunday, February 15.
Runners Up were Lex Thornton, Ketch and Jordan Thornton.

The outstanding Matches have been completed, one match on Friday, February 20, at 4pm.
Danny Webb and Stuart McNeill will play Justin Robb and Jordan Thornton.
This should be a good spectator match.
The winners will play Sam Beaton and Shawn McMahon in the final.

After the final round A1 finished in 8th position, B1 are in 4th spot, and B2 are in 7th place.

Weekend Pennant – Semi Final
B2 played their semi-final against Corowa RSL at Howlong on Saturday afternoon but unfortunately were unable to come away with the win losing by 12 shots.

Corowa Civic now play YMGCR next Saturday, February 21, and Corowa RSL go straight to the grand final on Saturday, February 28, at a venue to be decided by the O and M.
Another good night of Business House 4’s on Wednesday.
At present there are only three teams who have won all four games.
Congratulations to our Over 60’s team (Paul Hickey, John White, Shane Rosenow and Keith Evans who had a good win last week at Wodonga defeating Corowa RSL 48-46.
This week John White, Shane Rosenow, Bruce Corcoran, and Keith Evans played at Milawa and came away winners with 50, defeating Wangaratta 46.
Well done to Brent and Adam Corcoran of Civic who teamed up with Michael Dickins and Craig Scown in the State Fours 2025/26 played at Wodonga last Sunday and won their section.
They will now play their final on Sunday.
The 80 Club Draw was held on Sunday, February 15.
There was a good attendance of members and friends, with a game of bowls following the draw.
Winners of the bowls were – Steve Rodway, Graeme McIntosh and Dion McKay.
Runners up were – Paul Hickey, Denise Comas and Brendan Leach.
After the bowls a lovely lunch was served by the Ladies of the Club.
A very exciting draw then took place, with the last four ticket holders being the winners, they were – Vicki Chester, Shane & Paige Rosenow, Barb Pulling and Dion McKay.
Thank you to organisers Sue and Ray with the help of Shane on the day.
The Recycled Stubbies Day will be held on Sunday, March 15, commencing at 10 am.
Keep this day free for a good day of bowls etc.
The Club Handicap Singles in both men and ladies will be played on Sunday, March 1, commencing at 9.30am.
Add your name to the entry sheet on the noticeboard in the club house; entries close on Sunday, February 22.
Social Bowls will commence once the Pennant season has finished.
Don’t forget to put your entry in for the Easter Tournament; Col Hendren will gladly help you with your entry.
Eileen Ide and Annette Norman are taking entries for the Ladies Fours Two Day Tournament on 6th and 7th May.

Corowa Indoor Carpet Bowls
Sunday social winners on 16 and 17 (33) were Georgie Agnew, Kerry Whalley, and Gloria McCluskey.
Runners-up on 15 and 16 (31) were Peter Manning, Naz Carnivale, and Ian Day.
Tuesday saw another tie for first place with the winners on 14 and 19 (33) being Gloria McCluskey, Georgie Agnew, and Betty Clancy getting the score on count back from, Naz Carnivale, Bev Barron, and Greg Williamson on 17 and 16 (33).
Thursday's winners on 16 and 16 (32) were Merylyn Milthorpe, Greg Williamson, and Glenda Willett.
Runners-up on 17 and 5 (22) were Gloria McCluskey, Sylvia Williamson, and Ellen Buckley.
