Led by meditation practitioner Carol Collings, the group offers attendees a sound bath — a meditative practice where instruments create soothing sounds to promote relaxation.
Research suggests sound baths can improve mood and ease tension, making them especially beneficial for people experiencing stress or anxiety.
Through their monthly showcases, Mindful Musos provide a welcoming space for community members to unwind and reconnect with themselves.
Attendees can join in with easy-to-play percussion instruments supplied by the group, or simply sit or lie down and absorb the calming sounds.
Those planning to lie down are encouraged to bring a mat, blanket, pillow and eye covering, as the venue’s skylights can be bright.
The group's next show will be held on Sunday, February 22 from 2pm at the Echuca Neighbourhood House, 39 Landsborough St.
Those interested in joining the Musical Musos can attend the practice sessions held every Friday at the same venue from 2.30pm to 4.30pm.
