The two sides clashed in the grand final three years ago, but this season neither will feature in the final four, Echuca finishing in sixth after defeating Nondies by 137 runs at Cohuna Recreation Reserve.
Batting first after winning the toss, Echuca put together a respectable total of 6-202.
The top order all made starts but failed to convert, Brendan Moyle (19), Curtis Townrow (20) and Ben Henson all falling on or around 20.
Charlie Hinks proved the anchor at number five, making 60 unbeaten, and had good support from Anthony Dennis (24) and James Grixti (38) below him.
After a watchful innings, Hinks released the shackles late, taking 13 from his final six balls to help Echuca beyond 200.
Daniel Clements (2-28) was the only man to notch two wickets for Echuca, while Jamal Sukhon, Matt Oddie, Callum Neil and Kyeran Ellery each added one.
In the chase, Nondies’ batting troubles quickly reared their heads again, both openers removed for a combined one run.
Things didn’t get much better further down the order, no Nondies player reaching double figures until Daniel Clements entered at number seven.
Even his stay was short but sweet, the Nondies man going on the attack with three boundaries and 15 runs from 12 balls before he was run out.
Peter Taylor added 10, but the race was run, and Nondies-Cohuna was all out for only 65.
Aidan Young was damaging early in the innings, grabbing best figures of 3-32, while Kale Edwards and Harry Ripon snared two each.
Ben Henson and Easton Carlile picked up one wicket apiece.
After four straight McMahon Shields, Echuca finishes the year in sixth with a 7-8 record, two wins out of the finals picture, while Nondies ends its campaign without a win for the second consecutive season.
