The Steamers demonstrated success at all levels in the past year, from individuals on the national stage, to local pennants, to state and franchise success.
As a team, Moama rose as high as is possible for a domestic club, claiming first its second straight Bendigo Campaspe Goldfields Bowls Region Premier League championship, before going on to win the weekend state pennant, designating the club as the best local pennant side under the Bowls Victoria banner.
Locally, the Steamers were also successful in the Campaspe Playing Area, picking up the weekend pennant.
While, as a franchise, the club won Bowls Premier League 22 in Brisbane in October, with two locals, Cassandra Millerick, and coach Kevin Anderson, key pieces in the four-person squad.

Millerick and Anderson also featured as one of the club’s individual success stories, claiming the state mixed pairs at the Bowls Victoria Open.
Millerick also added the women’s pairs to her trophy cabinet.
Gracie Retallick won the under-18 girls at the same event, while the crowning individual achievement for the year saw Olivia Cartwright reach the final two at the Bowls Australian Open, both in the women’s singles and fours.

With the club defending its Bowls Premier League title on home greens just outside, team representatives were unable to pick up their award, the honour accepted by Moama Bowling Club sales and marketing manager George Santos.
“The Steamers are stars in their own right,” Santos said.
“There are a lot of unique stars amongst the team, but when they get together, and they put their efforts towards one outcome, they are superb at what they do.
“That's proven by the track record and the achievements they have on a regular basis.”
