Kyabram found its way to the division four weekend pennant despite a spirited grand final effort from Moama at the Campaspe Playing Area deciders on Saturday.
After dropping the semi-final to the minor premier Steamers, Ky made its way through the preliminary final and overturned the result to claim the championship 63-58.
The match went down to the wire, with just a single shot between the sides with only two ends to play on a single rink.
The Bombers had some nervous moments but held on to score on those ends, extending the margin slightly to five.
Ted Hazelman’s rink stepped up in a tight contest, his 23-17 victory over Peter Whitlock appearing dominant compared to the razor-thin margins in the other rinks.
Moama’s Peter Walton just edged out Ray Harrison 23-22 in his rink, while the remaining contest between the Steamers’ Alan Jones and Bombers’ Geoffrey Coad finished deadlocked 18-all.
The two sides had battled three times in the past four weeks and proved to be evenly matched, these five shots the biggest margin for either side across the three contests.
