At the grand finals, held at Rich River Bowls Club on Tuesday, March 10, the Steamers faced off with their cross-river rival, winning two of three rinks to claim the title 70-45.
Cameron Keenan’s squad was firing throughout the contest, running away to a 27-10 margin over Echuca’s James Ferrier-led quartet.
Matt Robertson also won out in his rink, defeating Ian Page 25-17.
The remaining rink was a much more back-and-forth contest, Moama’s Cassandra Millerick and Echuca’s Kerryn Evans ultimately unable to be split in an 18-all final score, but Moama had done more than enough elsewhere to walk away champion.
“Everyone's really happy,” Millerick said.
“Everybody's just gelled well, we've got a good team, and it's great for Moama.
“It's good for the midweek to get up and hopefully onto bigger and better things.”
The winner of the two previous midweek pennants, Echuca had been a threat throughout the year, but Moama finished the year with too much quality in the finals.
Cassandra Millerick said her side gelled well this season.

Moama earned the win in the qualifying final 79-57, forcing Echuca to battle through Kyabram in the preliminary final to get another shot at the Steamers.
Echuca defeated Ky 63-50 last week to face Moama again, but it was to no avail.
“We played them two weeks ago, and it was a good tussle,” Millerick said.
“(It’s) always good when we play Echuca, they're our rivals.
“Either one of us could get up, but on the day, we just played some good shots and got some good results and here we are.”
The two clubs switched fortunes in the local pennants, with Echuca winning the weekend competition and Moama the midweek after the reverse occurred last year.
