The Campaspe Valley and district 60-and-over bowls group held its Wednesday weekly bowls at Moama Bowls Club on February 16 on a hot and cloudy day.
Twenty-four teams, 96 players all up, competed for a chook and also for the Murray Hearing Services trophy.
Three teams had won three games before rolling off to within the yard stick.
A team from Echuca had two bowls within the yard stick to place second.
They were Kevin McAsey (lead), Steve “Knockers” Nolan (second), John Hollowood (third), and Tony Deenen was the skipper.
