COACHES CORNER / JOEL DONEHUE
What’s the biggest focus for your group in 2026?
Going deeper into finals after bowing out in the first round last year. That’s what the boys want to do, and challenge those top sides.
What will supporters notice about this team?
Our game style will be a bit more free flowing compared to last year.
What’s your side’s greatest strength?
Last year we were a pretty small midfield so we recruited some bigger blokes to run through there and probably not get knocked off the ball as much and be a bit stronger.
What still needs the most work?
It's just more our midfield, but I think we're pretty strong everywhere else. It's probably all jelling together.
What does success look like for this group in 2026?
Pushing these top sides like North Bendigo, Colbo, Mount Pleasant, that’s our goal. When we play them we're going to really rip it up them.
