The Geelong-based company has been appointed as the league’s provider following an expressions of interest process.
One game of seniors football and one game of A-grade netball will be live-streamed each round.
All finals (senior football and A-grade netball) will also be live-streamed as well as all four football and five netball grand finals.
All games will be streamed from the GVL’s brand new website with links also available across all four of the GVL’s digital channels (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and Twitter).
GVL board chair David Roff said, “We are looking forward to working with the team at Red Onion Creative to be able to deliver weekly live-streams of both football and netball games. We are excited about the move and know that our games will now be more accessible to people far and wide.”
Red Onion Creative has a solid pedigree in the delivery of many services including live-streaming and has many partners, including AFL Barwon, AFL Goldfields, AFL South East, AFL Central Vic, AFL Central Murray, VFL, Geelong Cats and with leagues including Geelong Football Netball League, Ballarat Football Netball League, Bendigo Football Netball League, the Essendon District Football League and many others.
Roff continued by saying, “We are also pleased to announce the Shepparton Club as the league’s exclusive live-stream partner for both football and netball. We thank the Shepparton Club board, general manager Wayne Sutton and the team and look forward to working with them in order to bring live-streaming of games each week at no cost to our clubs or supporters. We encourage you to support them when you can.”
The board is excited by the possibilities in season 2022 and looks forward to a season full of football and netball action.
