Winter has come, and Echuca was ice-cold in a big win over arch-rival Rochester.
The Murray Bombers will hit the halfway mark of the Goulburn Valley League season on top of the ladder after mauling Rochester by 45 points at Victoria Park on Sunday.
In wet conditions, Rochester started strongly before Echuca emulated its round one performance over the Tigers with an overpowering second-half performance.
The 12.9 (81) to 5.6 (36) win sees Echuca share a 7-1 record with Mansfield, but boasts a superior percentage to the Eagles.
A full match report will be available in Wednesday’s edition of the Riverine Herald.
