Thursday, March 11:
Denis Lobb from Bendigo had the round of his life to par the course. Great effort, Denis.
Col Masenhelder had a great day, also finishing runner-up and almost holing out on 16 for the super pin.
Dave Christians (11 under par) won B grade and took out the three-round Thursday President’s Trophy from Tom Flinn, (8 under par) and Bill Bayles, (7 under par).
Martin Camenzuli took the C grade honours.
Men

Saturday, March 13:
A field of 179 played the East course. Trevor Hay took out the monthly medal with a fine nett 68.
The Loaders dominated A grade with Steve and Aaron both on the winners’ list.
Bernie Altmann won C grade with Tristan Nevin and Grant Scott having the best gross scores in B and C grade respectively. Ken Lambert won the super pin.
Men
A grade: 1st Steve Loader (69 nett); 2nd Angus Baldwin (70); 3rd Aaron Loader (73 gross).
B grade: 1st Trevor Hay (68 nett); 2nd Pete James (69); 3rd Tristan Nevin (82 gross).
C grade: 1st Bernie Altmann (69 nett); 2nd Aaron Haw (69); 3rd Grant Scott (89 gross).
Karen Fitzgerald’s fine form continues winning the star award and a nearest the pin. Simone Morgan is super consistent and Colleen Lynch won the super pin.
Ladies
A grade: 1st Karen Fitzgerald (68 nett); 2nd Simone Morgan (70); 3rd Lorraine De Ravin (71).
Sunday, March 14:
Visitors from RACV Cape Schanck, Waverley, Neangar Park, Rowes Bay, Mystic Sands, Settlers Run, Tea Tree Gully, Kapooka, Berwick Montuna, Rosebud and The Dunes clubs rounded out the field of 53 for the stableford medley on Sunday, with four of the visitors featuring in the prize positions.
A grade: 1st: Ryan Stevens (Cape Schanck) 39 points. 2nd: Jim Fotiniotis (Waverley) 35. 3rd: Douglas Adams, 35 on a countback.
B grade: 1st: Grant Wachter (Neangar Park) 37 points. 2nd: Xavier Clark 35. 3rd: Adam Barker 34. The countdown went to 32.
Monday, March 15:
9 holes: A group of the ladies are away this week, playing at Wangaratta, Bright and Myrtleford in the Great Alpine Classic but there was still a field of 44 to play the nine-hole stroke round. Leonie Dunne, playing off 34, recorded 32 nett to take out the A grade win, while Wendy Williams won in B grade with 31.
A grade: 1st: Leonie Dunne (32 nett); 2nd: Toni Beck (37); 3rd: Sally Gough (37).
B grade: 1st: Wendy Williams (31); 2nd: Deborah Egan-Magnay (34); 3rd: Jennifer Halloran (35).
18-hole medley: Monday’s 18-hole medley was also a stroke round with Peter Anderson winning the day with a nett 71.
A grade: 1st: Peter Anderson (71); 2nd: Thomas Warby (72); 3rd: Liz Easther (74).
B grade: 1st: Kerry McLoughlan (75); 2nd: Mairi Eltringham (77 on c/b); 3rd: Trees Weyers (77).
Nearest the pins were Peter Anderson (A-grade) and Liz Pollard (B).
Tuesday, March 16:
In ideal conditions, 187 played the west course. Alan Tonkin stole the show in the stableford competition by having a hole in one on the fourth west.
Trevor Hay backed up his monthly medal by winning the super-pin and two Dave’s – Whytcross and Davison - won A and B grades respectively. Peter Wright won a three-way countback for the major prize in C grade.
Men
A grade: 1st David Whytcross (38 points); 2nd Mitchell Allman (37); 3rd Craig Opie (37).
B grade: 1st David Davison (38); 2nd KD Martin (37); 3rd David Collins (37).
C grade: 1st Peter Wright (36); 2nd Tim Noar (36); 3rd Phil Birrell (36).
Wednesday, March 17:
Wednesday was Monthly Medal day for the women on the East course and taking out the medal was Liz Pollard by three shots with 65 nett.
There was a good field of 92 women in the field on a beautiful sunny day for the first round of the 2021 Premier League and the countdown went to 95.
A grade: 1st: Joy Kelly (69); 2nd: Winnie Lavery (71); 3rd: Chris Fleming (73).
B grade: 1st: Liz McKinlay (68) followed by Lorraine Bowman on a countback from Melva Howell with 70.
C grade: 1st: Liz Pollard (65); 2nd: Jenny Kirkpatrick (71); 3rd: Jennifer Halloran (72).
Nearest the pins on the third were Joy Kelly ( -grade), Sue Edwards (B) and Liz McKinlay (C); on the 16th Marion Whatley (A grade), Robyn Dyson (B) and Melva Howell (C) were closest, while the second shot on the 13th went to Marg Morgan. Janine Morgan won the super-pin on the eighth.
