Beautiful conditions brought out some fine scores with Dale Phillips taking down the red-hot Mark Lynch in A grade. Not to be outdone, Lynch took the super-pin.
Tom Chadwick took out B grade honours.
A grade: 1st Dale Phillips (43 points); 2nd Mark Lynch (41); 3rd Michael De Jager (40)
B Grade: 1st Tom Chadwick (33 points); 2nd Arthur Duke (26).
Saturday, August 21
East course: The 1pm COVID-19 lockdown in Victoria took out half the field on Saturday but not before Nick Murnane had one of the scores of the year, beating his handicap by 10 shots.
Joel Watson is in great form and shot under par but could only take third place behind Sean Burns. Aaron “Teddy” McMaster was unlucky to have 43 points and not take the win in B grade.

B Grade: 1st Nick Murnane (46 points); 2nd Aaron McMaster (43); 3rd Sam Davie (40).
West course: Luke Carter took the honours in A grade in the west course medley on Saturday with 40 stableford points on a countback to Mick Young (40) in second place. Thomas Flinn was third with 39 points.
In B grade, Ron Meikle was first with 37 points on a countback to Gerry Allen, with Michael Cronin making up the top three with 36 points.
Sunday, August 22
Medley competitions were on both courses on Sunday with 52 entrants on the east course and 29 on the west.
East: Tony Jones was overall winner with 42 stableford points, from Michael Devlin (41) on countback to William Devlin (41). The countdown went to 35.
West: Tony Kelly had 40 points to take the win, from Carol Schulz (37) in second on a countback to Malcolm Mitchell (37) third.
Monday, August 23
Women's nine-holes: Wendy Williams won Monday's nine-hole competition on the west course with 19 stableford points, from Fran Murphy (18) on countback to Shirlie Jackson (18).
18-hole medley: Also on the west course, William Devlin was the overall winner of the medley event with 37 stableford points, on a countback from Marilyn Robins (37) in second. Gloria Martin made up the top three with 36 points.
Tuesday, August 24
John Bedford won by the length of the straight in the A grade event with Dave Kelly and Bob Scott fighting out the minor placings.
Walter Tink took down Gordon Jasch and Dean Zadow in B grade.
A grade: 1st John Bedford (38 points); 2nd Dave Kelly (34); 3rd Bob Scott (34).
B grade: 1st Walter Tink (39 points); 2nd Gordon Jasch (36); 3rd Dean Zadow (35).
Wednesday, August 25
Top score in the medley round on Wednesday was B grade winner Gloria Martin's 40 stableford points. Carol Eddy took out the A grade top spot with 37 points.
A grade: 1st Carol Eddy (37); 2nd Brad Mason (36); 3rd Fiona Simpson (35).
B grade: 1st Gloria Martin (40); 2nd Margaret Arnold (35); 3rd Lorraine Bowman (34).
Campaspe
Two out of three ain't bad. The club managed to get two days of its tournament contested before the cell doors were slammed shut again. For those who didn't make it to the tournament, you missed playing on a fantastic, well-prepared course.
All visitors claimed it to be the best that they had ever seen it.

Thursday was a beautiful sunny day for the Ladies 4BBB competition, with visitors from Elmore, Lockington, Mitiamo, Rochester, Rich River and Bamawm.
Winners were the Elmore team of Joy Rasmussen and Marilyn Morrell on 40 points.
Bamawm's Lyn Kingston and Rich River's Cathy Kelly gave them some hurry up with 39 points to claim runners-up.
Nearest the pins went to Lockington's Annette Brereton (first, second shot) and Cath Kelly (fifth).
The straightest drive on the fourth was claimed by Lyn Kingston.
Pauline Robinson won the platter in the daily raffle, donated by AGWarehouse.
And what a day Cath Kelly and Lyn Kingston had. On top of all their other wins, Kelly and Kingston won a $20 voucher from Bunnings donated by Pauline and Wayne Robinson.
Friday was the Men's 4BBB Tyson and Herbertson Shield. The day was a tad dreary and cold, and unfortunately numbers could have been better.
Visitors came from Rochester, Elmore and Bamawm.
Winners of the day were Campaspe's Frank Broucek and Rochester's Ken Lambert with 39 points.
The pair just held off Francie Lee and Anthony Lee from Bamawm who scored 37 points to be runners-up.
Nearest the pins went to Elmore's Steve Harris (fifth) and Ken Lambert (14th), while the straightest drives came from Anthony Lee (fourth) and Lambert (ninth, 0-16).
Broucek claimed the rest including the longest drives on the ninth and sixth, as well as nearest the pin on the 16th with the second shot.
Among a few of the lucky raffle winners were Rod McAsey (Bunnings $20 voucher), John Oakley (beanie), Denise Pappin (magnolia plant) and John Canavan (six stubbies) to name a few.
COVID-19 restrictions won out on the third day of the tournament, which was the day the club was meant to draw its major tournament raffle and the Keysborough raffle.
This will now be done in near future once the lockdown is lifted.
Lockington
The Lockington ladies enjoyed a bumper week of golf, with teams events at Bamawm on Tuesday and Campaspe on Thursday, as well as a competition at Lockington on Friday before COVID-19 lockdown hit again.
At Bamawm’s teams event on Tuesday, Jenny Holt and Annette Brereton played well to be in the winner’s circle.
Friday’s competition event was stableford, with Annette Brereton returning the day’s best score of 35 points.
Helen Hayes was runner-up with 31, while Pauline Humbert won the nearest the pin.
Bamawm
The Annual Edie Tonkin Bell Day sponsored by Rich River Golf Club Resort was held on Tuesday, August, 17. Teams and individual clubs represented included Rich River, Lockington, Belvoir Park, Neangar Park, Rochester, Campaspe, Elmore and Mitiamo.
Captain Kath Connors thanked the clubs for their support, and members who assisted on the day to make it a success. She then presented the winners’ trophies.
The Edi Tonkin Bell was won by the Rochester team of Jenny Major, Barb McCarty and Raylee Willis with a total score of 228 points.
Runner-up was the Rich River team of Lyn Kingston, Cath Kelly and Melva Howell on 233 on a countback from the Lockington team of Annette Brereton, Phyllis Macfarlane and Helen Hayes, also on 233.
