With Nutrien Ag Solutions Deniliquin and AuctionsPlus providing assistance, club president Al Nichols said punters can expect a larger range of items to be on offer.
So far there are more than 200 items up for grabs, including many which are larger in size than you would normally find at the Blighty auction.
And of course, Mr Nichols pointed out that a stronger list of auction items - in addition to the online auction platform - hopefully means more investment in local football and netball development.
“Traditionally we’ve held a live auction in our clubrooms, but going online gives us a wider audience we can reach,” Mr Nichols said.
“AuctionsPlus seems to be a great platform for sales, and Jake Freshwater (Nutrien sales consultant) has put in a lot of hard work and managed to secure some bigger items as well.
“Proceeds from the auction helps us invest in the club.
“We’re looking at placing nets behind the footy goal posts like many other clubs. This enhances safety, and can be quite an expensive exercise.
“There’s also a few upgrades we want for the canteen, and we’ll also look up upgrading our equipment.
“We have a fair tribe of fifths footballers and mini netballers around, and the gear they are using is getting on a bit.”
The auction will be hosted via AuctionsPlus from 9am on August 22 to 2pm on August 23.
Mr Freshwater said the online auction platform allows more people to get involved in the fundraiser - buyers and donors alike.
“The auction allows members, friends and patrons to support the club by donating services, farm equipment and machinery for auction.
“For buyers, the auction presents a fantastic opportunity to purchase that piece of machinery or equipment that’s been missing from your arsenal, all while supporting a great cause.
“The range includes large scale farming equipment such as air-seeders, headers, tractors and trucks, other vehicles, motorbikes, lawnmowers, livestock and irrigation equipment, antiques and much more.
“Also donated for auction are a range of services including welding and farm maintenance, freight packages, a Country News advertising package to the value of $2000, houseboat experience, photography packages, lamb and pork packages and firewood.”
Nutrien Ag Solutions Deniliquin branch manager Matt Tubb - himself a former Blighty footballer - said the company was proud to be involved with such an important fundraiser.
“The big picture is that we’re happy to be involved with an event that will support a great group of people,” Mr Tubb said.
“This is a chance to fundraise through a different platform, and an opportunity to utilise AuctionsPlus in the current market.
“But supporting the community is a big part of what we do at Nutrien.”
