The under-17 match will provide an opportunity for bottom-age players to showcase their skills, and the star Eagles midfielder said he was excited for the opportunity to mix it against the best in his age bracket.
“It will be a good experience,” Poole said.
“I’ll be playing with a lot of blokes I don’t know but it should be fun.”
For the rising star out of Echuca South Reserve, it’s been a year of firsts as he takes his football to the next level.
Poole notched his Bendigo Pioneers’ debut against Calder Cannons back in May, and has been named in the best players twice from seven NAB League games this season.
A switch from the wing to the backline in recent weeks for the Pioneers has seen Poole flourish, with his starring performances coming in those games.
A born-and-bred Eagle, Poole has played 88 games for Echuca United since his start in under-12s, with nine of those played at senior level after his debut during the 2021 season.
He will line up opposite Pioneers’ teammate Charlie Hillier of Deniliquin, who has been selected for NSW.
