While they were hopeful the evening event would be a grand final celebration, the party went ahead despite the fourths footballers and under-13s netballers being defeated by the narrowest of margins.
Families and club supporters also made the trip to Katunga on the day to cheer for both young teams from the sidelines.
The official celebrations to end the season - the Rovers presentation days - will be held this weekend at Memorial Park.
The senior presentation is Friday night, with the juniors getting their turn on Sunday afternoon.
