Where the weekly Cal Quiz Night is being transformed into a major fundraiser for Echuca-Moama Theatre Company and its upcoming production.
The Cal’s Dave Cunningham (aka Quizzingham) will be quizmaster on the night and is urging everyone to come along and support the show.
He said entry is free and the questions start from 7.30pm.
“It would be great if tables could dress up in the theme – which wouldn’t have to be just Addams Family, just a little whacko like the Addams,” Dave said.
“Tables can any number, from two to 10, and you can call and book yours now,” he said. “Our kitchen will be running its normal menu and there will also be a prize for the winning table.”
At the same time the Caledonian is running a fundraising raffle for EMTC and tickets are on sale now at $2 each or 3 for $5.
Other prizes on the night include two tickets to The Addams Family opening night, Caledonian vouchers, the raffle hamper and an esky valued at $200 – and more.
The Addams Family director Luke Westley said he believed the production would be the most the show had been developed.
Luke said the amazing cast has been working as hard as possible – and for long hours – to deliver something really special.
“All the sets and costumes have been completed and I reckon this will be the best show the organisation has done,” Luke said. “Now it’s just about putting the final polish on all that hard work off,” he said. “And we still have plenty of time for that all-important final dress rehearsal.”
Opening night will be May 24 and the show runs until June 1.
Tickets are available from the Paramount theatre.
