Abdul Elraoui, 69, appeared at Bendigo Magistrates Court on Wednesday charged with several offences, including reckless conduct endangering life, intentionally cause injury and prohibited person using a firearm.
Elraoui was bailed to his son's address in Sunshine on June 12, the day after a 21-year-old woman suffered a gunshot wound at Mincha-Canary Island Rd.
On Wednesday, his bail was extended to allow him to return home, almost four months after the incident.
He is due to appear in the same court for a committal mention on November 27.
Investigators were told a 21-year-old Epsom woman was walking with two male friends when she was shot to the mid-torso at 3.20am on June 11.
After the shots were fired, the wounded woman and both men sought protection in a nearby house.
The woman was later taken to Bendigo hospital with what police described as non-life threatening injuries.
