Vivid chief executive Scott Alexander said the retreat was a valuable experience that enabled participants to immerse themselves in a sensory feast.
“Our participants gain valuable insight in artistic technique at the retreat,” Mr Alexander said.
“They express themselves with confidence as budding artists which has and will continue to put big smiles on their faces.”
The overwhelming success and popularity of previous years’ art retreats encouraged Vivid to offer two weekend retreats in Echuca this year.
Mr Alexander said the art retreat was one of many flexible support opportunities the organisation offers.
“The overall aim of these programs is to enhance independence, confidence, self-esteem and life choices,” he said.
“The success has been remarkable and we have the skilled expertise of Bottle and Brush to thank for making this an annual event on our calendar.”

Bottle and Brush Art Classes owner Caroline Smith said it was always a delight to partner with Vivid and guide participants through the artistic process in a calm and fun environment.
She said Bottle and Brush was grateful for the opportunity to help adults with disability further develop their skills and discover new talents.
“One of the most rewarding components of our business is encouraging groups to forget about everything around them and focus on developing their creative freedom,” Mrs Smith said.
“The benefits of art for mental health have been well documented and we find all participants, regardless of experience, become absorbed in their work.
“Self-expression is important and we encourage participants to paint their own interpretation of the art works we present.
“The results speak for themselves.”
