APPLICATIONS are open for state government funding to host a range of activities for children and their families during Children’s Week.
On this year from October 19 to 27, the week encourages communities to celebrate children’s right to enjoy childhood, and provides an opportunity for kids to demonstrate their talents, skills and abilities.
The theme for Children’s Week this year celebrates the right of all children to be healthy, safe and happy.
Grants of up to $1000 are available to host free activities, which may include art exhibitions, outdoor or messy play activities, dance workshops, musical performances, picnics and sporting activities.
Grants are available for not-for-profit organisations and councils across the state.
Applications close on Friday, July 19.
