Now they are set to return to their Saturday training drills with a game against Tungamah.
They were involved in a physical game against the Magpies but the Eagles can expect to walk off the court feeling quite fresh once they’ve finished with the Bears.
There have been some massive margins in the Murray League already this season and this looks set to be another one.
A 45-goal margin is our tip for the minimum difference between the two sides.
■ MOAMA are acting like they lost on Saturday.
That’s actually pretty important here — in a draw, Moama walked away feeling like it was a failure.
This team is as serious about the business of winning as anyone will ever be.
And for this week’s opponent Rumbalara, that should be a scary thought.
Moama are mentally looking at making a statement after a loss, so even a good side like Rumba should probably be pretty scared.
Outside of United, Moama takes no prisoners.
Expect them to be better than we have seen so far this year, because if the words ‘‘they made a big mistake getting this close to us,’’ doesn’t scare you a bit, nothing will.
This team has been sitting in second gear all year, lets see what happens next.
■ TONGALA had a tough weekend against one of the better netball sides in the comp last week.
And this week they will have another challenge awaiting them.
Finley has been pretty good so far this year, they’ve performed in the big moments and sit at 6-3.
Tonny will be looking for another win, but with the top spots on the ladder starting to become clear, Finley will be desperate to put their name firmly in the discussion.
It will be a task to get the win, and unfortunately a task we aren’t sure Tonny are up to yet.
■ LEITCHVILLE-GUNBOWER will be feeling fresh after the bye, but a game against reigning premiers White Hills is the worst possible return to action they could ask for.
Unfortunately, the Bombers are going to be wishing they had two weeks off because the visitors are a class above.
Leitchy remain hopeful of playing finals this season, but a big loss here would seriously impact their chances as percentage could be vital at the end of the season.
We’re tipping White Hills to get a big win.
■ MATHOURA’s huge month of netball against fellow finals contenders starts this weekend against Tocumwal.
The Timbercutters must start beating the teams around them if they are to find their way into the bottom half of the top eight.
But based on their inconsistent form, we can’t see them finding a way past Tocumwal on Saturday.
