The Koreans became the first country to qualify for the quarter-finals of the tournament after dominating the Filipinas in front of 2,332 at Gold Coast Stadium on Thursday.
Mark Torcaso's Filipino side was no match for the Koreans, who raced into a 2-0 lead after just 15 minutes before adding to their lead in the second half.
After smashing Iran 3-0 to open their tournament and downing the Philippines, South Korea have picked up a maximum of six points heading into their final group clash with Australia in Sydney on Sunday.
South Korea beat Australia 1-0 in the quarter-finals of the 2022 Women's Asian Cup and hold no fears for coach Shin Sang Woo's outfit.
"I cannot really comment about the victory four years ago because I was not head coach of the team at that time," he said.
"In this tournament the first match and the second match was according to plan and this match it was important to have a good performance from our younger players and that worked really well.
"I am confident about the upcoming match with Australia."
The Koreans enjoyed 77 per cent of possession against the Filipinas and showed a level of composure and incisiveness that Australia failed to display in their 1-0 tournament-opening win.
It took just 11 minutes for the Taeguck Ladies to hit the front when Jeon Yugyeong evaded the attention of Isabelle Pasion and Jessika Cowart to rifle a goal into the bottom right corner.
Park Soo-Jeong was the next to get in on the action, unleashing a shot from the edge of the box to double her side's advantage four minutes later.
The Philippines were on shaky ground but managed to steady until the break.
Carleigh Frilles tested Korean goalkeeper Kim Minjung from distance just before half-time.
But any chance of a fightback was put to bed in the 55th minute when Son Hwayeon's shot was tipped over the bar by Olivia McDaniel.
From the ensuing corner, McDaniel flapped at the delivery and her failed punch to safety fell into the path of Mun Eunju, who lashed home from close range.
While victory ensures South Korea's passage to the knockout stage, the Philippines may be left to rely on qualifying for the quarter-finals as one of the best-ranked third-placed teams.
Torcaso's side play their final group game against Iran on Sunday.
