Benalla's Heartbeat

Standing here on Mair Street

Gazing at the bridge, lake and murals
What a way to leave or great

Lets turn north and head uptown
Betcha there will be mates to meet

Stolz in an option a bit to see
Now they have Telstra hard to compete

Across the road coffee to go

White, two lumps I like it sweet
Young'uns walk past heads turned down

Doing something they call tweet
Newsagency next winning post and best bets

Go through the form losers we delete
Ober the highway t the hairdresser

I know Davo will cut it neat
Millers on the corner an institution

Plenty of choice to look complete

Can't go past the bedding shop krissie smiles
She'll sell anything to cover with a sheet

Paul Rettke's mob are always on the go
Their snags won gold medals what a feat

I think I have run out of rhyme
Bi lo bottle shop I deserve a treat
