Prize money at the Women's World Cup, shortly to open in India, has been increased fourfold since the last tournament in 2022, and will be more than at the men's event two years ago.
The pot has increased from $A21m - the men played for $A15m.
The 2022 Women's World Cup in New Zealand had an overall purse of $A5.3 million.
Should Australia defend their title they will win $A6.9m, with the losing finalists claiming $A3.4m.
"This four-fold increase in prize money is a landmark moment for women's cricket and reflects our clear commitment to its long-term growth," International Cricket Council chairman Jay Shah said on Monday.
The Women's World Cup starts on September 30 when co-hosts India and Sri Lanka meet in Guwahati.Â
