Sleep Doctor Mobility Doctor owner Shane Mills stressed the importance of choosing the right mattress.
“A good bed and mattress are essential because you sleep longer and sleep better, more comfortably,” he said.
“It certainly makes a huge difference to your health if you can sleep better.”
Mr Mills advocates for in-store mattress selection.
“You can pop in and we can trial a few beds and find the right one for you,” he said.
“It is difficult to sell a mattress over the phone, you need to be in here so we can explain a few differences between a budget mattress and a top-end one.”
The store recommends mattress replacement every eight to 10 years.
“Some people tend to get 15 years out of them, but by the time they are 15 years old, you certainly should have changed,” Mr Mills said.
The business has diversified to include mobility solutions for its customers.
“We are the Sleep Doctor Mobility Doctor, as we expanded to help customers with mobility,” Mr Mills said.
“We aim to make you feel comfortable in your own home for as long as possible.”
Their range includes adjustable beds, lift chairs, wheelchairs, walkers, toilet aids and electric scooters.
The business showcases beds combining hospital functionality with home-style aesthetics.
