One dead, two hospitalised after drug overdose

Queensland Ambulance Service confirmed they had taken an overdose.

A 40-year-old woman in a critical condition was treated by paramedics but she died at the scene. 

Two people were taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a serious condition. 

Paramedics assessed three others, but they declined further treatment. 

Police will prepare a report for the coroner on the 40-year-old woman's death.
