Thieves target Echuca East school

HEARTLESS thieves have stolen thousands of dollars in electrical items from an Echuca school.

Police are investigating the burglary at Echuca East Primary School in Eyre St which occurred about 6.30am Saturday.

Detective Senior Constable Troy Wickham said offenders forced open a window and stole a 52-inch television and a Apple TV device.

"It's very disappointing at any time, let alone when schools are vulnerable and need this technology," he said.

Police are appealing to witnesses, or anyone with CCTV, dashcam footage or information to come forward.
