In partnership with the Riverine Herald, the community is encouraged to invite their family and friends to our region via postcard.
EMT hopes it will bring tourism back to Echuca-Moama.
“Postcards are an old-fashioned way to communicate, they are nostalgic, they take time to write, time to post and time to arrive,” EMT chief executive Kathryn Mackenzie said.
“Here at EMT we believe the personally crafted messages sent through traditional mail will strike a chord – providing a distinct difference from the quick, often impersonal messages conveyed on email or via text.
“We know our friends and family love visiting this part of regional Victoria and we felt this was a very personal way to invite our friends and family back to our place – to our destination.”
There are seven postcards in the series featuring places and attractions at Kyabram, Echuca and Rochester.
They will appear in this week's Riverine Herald and next week's Kyabram Free Press and Campaspe News, as well as in cafes and retail shops across Echuca, Kyabram and Rochester.
“Visiting locations, attractions, museums and galleries as they re-open their doors or booking their favourite cafes or restaurants and experiencing memorable moments with their guests will be a great way to support our small businesses and enterprises across our towns,” Ms Mackenzie said.
Special visitor information packs can be picked up from the Echuca's Visitor Information Centre which will open its doors from Thursday and will be open 10am until 3pm.
