In line with new restrictions announced at the weekend, the pool will expand its conditions to allow people over the age of 18 into the venue.
EWMAC will also open its gym, but will stay within the limits on numbers.
Campaspe Shire chief executive Declan Moore said the council was excited to re-open the centre to the public.
“With the easing of restrictions announced by the Victorian Government on Sunday, Campaspe Shire Council will now be able to open EWMAC to the wider community, mindful of the patron limits set by the chief health officer,” he said.
“This will see the gym, fitness room and indoor pool reopen from Wednesday, 28 October.
“We will use our booking system to schedule the various user groups and manage the restricted numbers permitted in each area.”
Local swimmer Sophie Baldwin said it was a huge win for the community.
“I'm really glad for everyone that the pool will be open again,” she said.
“We've been desperate for the pool to re-open for a while now, for people who compete in sports that have a swimming element it's essential for their training.
“The pool is a great resource for the whole community, so I'm just glad to see it open.”
Ms Baldwin said EWMAC was a fantastic asset for the whole of Echuca.
“Not only the pool, but the gym and the other facilities are great,” she said.
“It's a safe place for everyone to exercise, it removes a number of the risks that come from swimming in places like the river, and it makes everyone feel comfortable.
“It will be fantastic for the whole community to be able to return.”
