Covering key topics such as physical activity, nutrition, life satisfaction and access to recreational opportunities, it provides a snapshot of how people in Campaspe and our region live and what barriers they may face to staying healthy and active.
Healthy Loddon Campaspe, a Victorian Government-funded initiative aimed at improving health outcomes in the region, is delivering the 2025 Active Living Census in partnership with the six local government areas of Greater Bendigo, Campaspe, Central Goldfields, Loddon, Macedon Ranges and Mt Alexander shires.
Campaspe Shire Mayor Daniel Mackrell urged all residents to take part by completing the online census.
“The more people who participate, the clearer the picture we get,’’ he said.
‘’We strongly encourage everyone, young or old, active or not to take 15 minutes to fill it out. It’s your health, your community, your say.’’
Campaspe Shire Council communities director Jo Bradshaw said the insights from this year’s ALC would guide planning and funding for programs, facilities and services that meet community needs.
“The insights from the ALC also support councils, health agencies and community groups in developing local initiatives and identifying priority projects for better health outcomes,’’ she said.
Completing the census online is easy, anonymous and takes around 15 minutes. Everyone who completes the census online will have the chance to be in the draw to win their share of $10,000 in prizes in the early bird and weekly prize draws.
