Hundreds of people packed into venues across Echuca-Moama for AFL Grand Final Day on Saturday.

There was plenty of black and white donned by the Collingwood army throughout the twin towns.

But despite being outnumbered, the Brisbane Lions certainly had their share of supporters.

Plenty of other club colours featuring teams who missed out on the last day of September were also on show.

The one thing they all saw was a grand final classic at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.

Collingwood won its 16th VFL/AFL premiership by just four points — 12.18 (90) to 13.8 (86).

Magpies forward Bobby Hill booted four goals and was a clear winner of the Norm Smith Medal.

Riverine Herald photographer Aidan Briggs captured some of the colour and excitement of what is always a big day on the national sporting calendar.
