Locals found a treasure trove of bargains, from ice makers, chairs and bar fridges to wheelchairs, food trolleys and crockery.
And all proceeds went straight to the Victoria Police Blue Ribbon Foundation which raises funds to support the George Henry Taylor Emergency Department and Peter Geddes Short Stay Unit at Echuca Regional Health.
“It was such a fantastic result, the committee is thrilled,’’ Victoria Police Blue Ribbon Echuca Branch president Paul Nicoll said.
“We cannot thank the community enough for supporting ERH and the Victoria Police Blue Ribbon Foundation with this sale.
‘‘We would like to thank all the volunteers and the ERH engineering department for all their support in the lead up to the event, it is great to be able to partner with ERH and receive such a great result from all the hard work.
‘‘Thank you also to Ray White Echuca who had many of their team attend on Saturday to support the event, and generously donated their time to run the clearing sale on the day.’’
ERH also thanked French Connection Creperie who donated 10 per cent of sales from the day to the hospital.
