Applications are now open for the 2024 Campaspe Murray Business Awards.
Now in their 23rd year, the awards showcase excellence and innovation across a range of business and industry categories.
“These awards are an opportunity to shine a light on the incredible businesses that drive our local economy; from businesses who have operated in the area for many years to newcomers who are making their mark on our communities,” Campaspe Shire Mayor Cr Rob Amos said.
“With the addition of three new categories this year - including Excellence in Health and Wellbeing, Excellence in Marketing, and the Community Impact Award - the awards offer further opportunity to honour businesses that have demonstrated exceptional performance, innovation and community impact.”
Applications are now open to businesses operating within the Campaspe Shire and Murray River Council areas, with 15 business categories to choose from.
The 2024 award categories are:
- Campaspe Murray Business of the Year
- Edge FM Young Entrepreneur of the Year
- McPherson Media Best Retail Business
- Telstra Best Professional Service
- Foodmach Excellence in Manufacturing and Trade
- Kagome Excellence in Health and Wellbeing
- Echuca Moama Tourism Excellence in Marketing
- Melville & Hicks Lawyers Employee of the Year
- Rich River Golf Club Excellence in Hospitality
- Moama Bowling Club Best Home-based Business
- Greenhams Best Agri-business
- Coolabah Turf Best Professional Service – Community
- Community Bank Tongala & Mathoura Best New Business
- Discovery Parks Group Excellence in Tourism
- Echuca Regional Health Community Impact Award
Applications close June 27.
Murray River Council Mayor Cr Frank Crawley said in addition to the nomination categories, the popular People’s Choice Award will once again be run this year.
“The Nichol Trading People’s Choice Award category will allow members of the public to vote for their favourite finalist business, with voting open from Thursday, 25 July through to Thursday 5 September,” he said.
“This is a great opportunity for the public to further recognise local businesses who deserve acknowledgement for their achievements.”
Awards will be presented at the Gala Celebration Dinner on Wednesday, October 30.
