A great couple of weeks at The Waterbaggers with social bowls, hot food Fridays and the annual Soup and games day.

Monday, June 16
The club had 36 players taking to the green with Wayne Banes, Robbie Wickham and Les Wilson claiming first prize, well done.
Runners-up were Greg Fisher and Les Wilson.
Jackpot was won by Chris Meaa and Keith Allender.
Lucky number winner was Linda Atkins.
Monday, June 23
The club had 32 keen participants with young Izzy and Dave Charrington teaming up for the win.
The consistently in-form Greg Fisher and Les Wilson finished in 2nd place.
Jackpot was again unclaimed and Linda Atkins was on the money again, with Lucky numbers.
Monday, June 30
The Monday had a great turn out with 44 players, which was so good to see.
The husband and wife team of Shane and Gwen Masson took home the honours with Sue Middleton and Ken Smith claiming 2nd place.
Jackpot carried forward and Mr President Brian Batty, won the lucky number.
Wednesday Social Bowls
Wednesday, June 18
In icy temperatures, 12 players turned up.
Come and support the club for a fun day out and help build the numbers back up.
Bar open till 6pm.
Winners were Ken Smith who partnered up with Chris Omeara, well done guys.
Jackpot not Claimed.
Resting Toucher also not claimed.
Well Done to all bowlers, the club will see you on the green next week.
Wednesday, July 2
On a nice day, 24 players had arrived on the green with Tony Aceri and Shane Maddox taking first place.
C. Omeara and D. Martin finished in Runners-up.
Jackpot unclaimed.
D. Martin had a day out also getting the resting toucher bar voucher, great job.
Social Events
Friday night happy hour
On the last Friday of the month, Hot Food Friday takes place.
Its an integral part of the club’s social hub.
The drinks are cold and cheap…as is the weekly joke of the day.
The company is always good.
More than 20 members braved the cold to enjoy the company and the hot finger food provided.
Many thanks to the club for providing and for the helpers and social club for preparing and cleaning up.
It is always appreciated.
Soup and Games
Sunday June 29 was the annual Soup and Games Day.
$5 per person for Soup, Roll, Card and Board games.
More than 38 intrepid and competitive souls came for soup and games, with many laughs had.
For the fourth consecutive year, it’s become a much loved tradition on the social calendar.
We had an elite selection of games such as pin the kiss on the male, Jenga, Mini golf hole in one, celebrity head and of course a game of euchre.
The soups were delicious and consumed with relish.
A special thanks to Kay Tait, Margie Wickham, Raelene Scott and Kim Silver for the yummy soups and for coordinating the event each year.
Thanks also to Batman for the very important job of manning the bar.
Christmas in July
Sunday July 27 is Christmas in July.
$20 per person for a spit roast pork, ham, chicken and roast veggies for main course.
Christmas cake or fruit salad and custard for dessert, followed by a game of bowls.
Please place names on sheet in club as soon as possible for an indication of numbers.

Wednesday Social Bowls
A strong showing of 32 players turned out for social bowls last Wednesday, July 2, and found the weather on the cool side.
It was good to see the clubs two newest members, Karen and Paul Bianco claim first prize of $100.00, well done.
The second winning rink prize of $80.00 was shared by the pairing of Norm Windebank and Tony Durkin.
The losing rink consolation prize of $40.00 was shared by the team of Jodi Powell and Ian Febey.
The first lucky number prize of $20.00 was claimed by Ray Brown.
Paul Bianco rounded out a profitable day by winning the second lucky number prize of $10.00.
Friday Social Bowls
The weather may be cooler but that isn’t stopping players fronting up for nominated pairs bowls each Friday.
Last Friday saw another solid showing of 44 bowlers enjoying the bowls on both greens.
Taking first prize of back to Yarrawonga Bowling Club were the team of Ros King and Ian Wood, who shared $160.00.
The second winning rink prize of $100.00 was shared by the combination of Wade McPherson and Wayne Dows from Club Mulwala.
The losing rink consolation prize of $70.00 was won by Ray Butler and Shane Maddox representing Yarrawonga Bowls Club.
It was great to see visitors from other clubs making a clean sweep of this week’s prizes.
Thank you to those bowlers, from surrounding clubs who have been supporting both Wednesday and Friday Social Bowls at YMGCR, your invaluable support is appreciated.
The first lucky number raffle prize of a drink card and $15.00 was won by Saskia Vogels.
The second lucky number raffle prize of $15.00 was claimed by Andy LeFevre.

Club Mulwala Bowls
Community Activities at Club Mulwala Bowls Club
Club Mulwala Bowls Club is gearing up for an active season with various events and activities tailored for both experienced bowlers and newcomers alike.
One of the club's main attractions is the social bowls, taking place on Tuesdays and Sundays.
Names should be on the board by 10:30am each day, with competition starting at 12:30pm.
This 2/4/2 format encourages friendly competition and skill development among players of all levels.
Members and players from other clubs, as well as those traveling to our area, are all welcome to play.
Winners can take home prize money, raffle prizes, or simply enjoy the company.
Additionally, the “Mums and Bubs” program will resume on Wednesday, held from 10:30am til 11:30am, weather permitting.
This initiative is designed for parents to engage with lawn bowls while spending time with their children in a relaxed environment.
Membership options at Club Mulwala are straightforward and affordable, with full membership costing $100, new members receive an CM bowls top, social membership available for just $10.
These options are designed to ensure that anyone interested in lawn bowls can join our community.
To support skill development, the club also offers free one-on-one coaching sessions for members.
This personalised coaching with Stephen is aimed at enhancing techniques and understanding of the game.
Club Mulwala Bowls Club invites everyone to participate in our activities.
