Avenel accident results in Hume Fwy closure

The Department of Transport and Planning is asking drivers who are planning to travel towards Melbourne this afternoon to allow around 15 minutes extra for this detour compared to the regular journey via the Hume Fwy through Euroa.

This closure is under the control of emergency services.

The freeway will reopen when investigations are complete, and it’s safe to do so.
