Beard, with 1070 points from his 12 games, finished ahead of BLU star Sandun Ranathunga (793) and Rochester’s Sean Williams (682).
As the Moama Bowling Club Cricketer of the Year, Beard will pocket $500, with Ranathunga earning a cool $250, and third placed Williams $125.
The $75 for fourth was won by Moama’s Jack Russell, courtesy of the major sponsor Moama Bowling Club.
Finals did not count toward the award, with all nine men’s A-grade teams and five women’s teams involved in the award.
In the women’s cricket award, Echuca pair Danielle Garden and Delaney Laffy were separated by only eight points at the top and Taylor Hird from Leitchville-Gunbower was third with 187 points.
Bradley Campbell from Moama narrowly tipped out Kevin Anderson and Barry Brennan to claim the Moama Bowling Club/Riverine Herald Bowler of the Year award.
Campaspe skips Jamie Shields, who finished fourth on the shots-up percentage ladder (how skips were measured this season), Bradley Tinning and Dennis Compton also had great seasons.
As winner of the Bowler of the Year award, which included Echuca, Moama, Rochester, Tongala, Mathoura, Deniliquin and Rich River, Campbell pockets a cool $500, with runner-up Anderson winning $250, third place-getter Brennan $125 and Shields $75.
Jaycob Dingwall from Rochester and Erik Holt-Crossman from Rich River were separated by less than half a percent at the top of the tennis table.
It was Dingwall’s title in 2021-22 however, picking up the $300 prize money. Holt-Crossman pockets $125 and Todd Charnas from Echuca 1 finished third ($75).
In the women’s division Echuca tennis star Roxanne Dicketts has a 71.48 per cent winning rate, winning the inaugural award ahead of Isabella Crossman (Rich River Rebels) and Echuca’s Vikki Bavich.
In both the women’s award the split of prize money was $300 for the winner, $125 for runner-up and $75 for third.
