On a recent outing, 10 Benalla Bushwalking Club members travelled up Mt Samaria Rd to walk the Wileman Track.
Club member Bev Thornenell said that after doing a car shuffle, their first stop was Wild Dog Falls.
“Here we enjoyed the sound of cascading falls, with vast views across to Lake Nillahcootie and the Strathbogie Ranges,” she said.
“We continued along Wileman Track, passing many large eucalyptus and flowering wattles of varying species.
“After lunch at Camphora Campsite, we continued walking, finally meeting Robyn Shingles and Peter Maffie heading in the opposite direction.
“Back Creek Falls provided another photo opportunity before heading back to the vehicles.
“It was a great 10km walk, ably led by John Lane, on a day of glorious sunshine.“
