A Bundalong man, charged with supplying commercial quantities of methamphetamines (ice), will remain behind bars until his case is heard in court.
Hayden Lindsay Ellis has already spent more than 300 days on remand and was refused bail on May 29 with police citing concerns that Ellis had a total disregard for being banned from possessing guns.
In August last year, Ellis was allegedly filmed hiding a sports bag containing a gun at his home in Phalaris Lane, Bundalong before police allegedly found the weapon with the serial numbers removed, inside an air duct, at a house in Witt St, Yarrawonga.
Prosecutors told the court that a search also found $6,979 in cash, 187 grams of ice, and quantities of Gamma-Hydroxybutyric acid (GHB) and cannabis.
The court heard that checks of Ellis’ bank accounts showed daily deposits of large quantities of money from June 17, 2024 until the day of his arrest.
Ellis’ partner, Abbey Bryan was also charged with supplying commercial quantities of ice.
Ellis will reappear in Wangaratta Magistrates Court on August 28.
