Campaspe Shire Mayor Rob Amos has encouraged parents to register over the next two months, noting the move to a new software provider to capture registrations, which will be easier and more user-friendly for families.
Offers are then made by applying Victorian Government and local priority of access criteria.
This means places are not allocated by the date of application, rather, places will be allocated to children by applying the priority of access.
“First-round offers for kindergarten registrations are open between May 1 and June 30 however, registrations can be made at any time throughout the year,” Cr Amos said.
If your child turns three or four before April 30, 2024, they are eligible to attend three or four-year-old kinder in 2025.
This year, council has moved to an online system for capturing registrations.

“And if you’re not sure what kindergarten is best for your child, Shine Bright is running an open day at all their services on Wednesday, May 15, from 9 to 11.30am,” Cr Amos said.
“It’s a great opportunity to make an informed decision about your child’s upcoming kindergarten enrolment.”
Please note that children are only eligible for one year of three-year-old and one year of four-year-old kindergarten before they start school.
Families with children born between January and April have a choice about when to start kindergarten, which will determine whether they start school in the year they turn five or the year they turn six.
In July, offers will be emailed to advise if your child has received a place at your preferred service or is on a waiting list.
Please ensure you respond to your offer within seven days.
Campaspe Shire Council manages the registrations for the following kindergartens: Berrimba Childcare, Echuca, Shine Bright Echuca East Kindergarten, Shine Bright Echuca Central Kindergarten, Shine Bright Echuca South Community Kindergarten, Shine Bright Girgarre Kindergarten, Shine Bright Gunbower Kindergarten, Shine Bright Fenaughty St Kindergarten, Kyabram, Shine Bright Kyabram P-12 Kindergarten, Shine Bright Lockington Kindergarten, Shine Bright Rochester Kindergarten, Shine Bright Stanhope Kindergarten, Shine Bright Tongala Kindergarten.
Applications for 2025 Kindergarten registrations must be submitted before Sunday, June 30, 2024.
